Yesterday I bought a brand new wired Apple Aluminum Keyboard. I was on an Apple store in Lisbon and asked for the international version of this keyboard. To my suprise, they have just one in stock! I took the chance and bought it.

All I have to say is this: do you want to know girls? Buy this keyboard and show it to them. They will simply go crazy. It real looks better than the pictures. If you see one (and touch it) you will never want to go back to any keyboard.

I’m really not an apple fan boy (I hate them!), but I have to agree this product receives my thumbs up!

PS – On a side note, I’m yet to connect this keyboard to a Mac OS. It is working flawlessly on my Debian installation :) I was curious because in the keyboard box they said “Mac OS only”.

I have a 3.5 year old logitech elite keyboard, and it even has a house cart button, very very useful!!! apart from that it also has a mouse wheel, just in case my mouse one doesn’t work. If you move the too in diferente directions they do nothing, very advanced programming!!

:) connected to Debian ? Nice, Etch or Lenny ? My brother just got an iMac, and the damn keyboard is confortable, slick, and the feeling is overall very good.

Now, Apple has a nice keyboard, a nice OS with Spaces and some other improvements that Gnome had me for years…

    No apt-get still… heh

Debian Lenny of course! But I think this is a pretty standard USB keyboard (ok, with a strange layout), so you should expect it to work like the other keyboards.

iMac is a beautiful piece of hardware too. I’m thinking on buying one for my father… with Ubuntu?? :-)

ha! Ubuntu ? :D Man, Gutsy is soooo slick !! My sister has it on her Toshiba, and that Gnome with Compiz really is awsome.

Important to say that Lenny’s Gnome 2.18 is very cool AND stable too! ;) (well no one needs to know that Evolution messes my IMAP files from time to time)

I saw the IMAP options lying on my google account… but, is big G gonna get us all?

Me needs to buy a new laptop… but wich ? The only i consider is a Thinkpad…

For a while i was looking into buying a thinkpad, but they are just to expensive and hard to find. I’ve made my mind… almost :S, going for the macbook pro.

I didn’t want to.. but you just can’t beat the MBP’s quality/price here in Portugal. It seems that linux runs pretty well now… so no problem there. My only concern is size :S
